ROBERT M. SHUFORD
Robert M. Shuford is a Co-Founder and Partner at Clovis Point.
Previously, Mr. Shuford served as a managing director on the lower middle-market team of Main Street Capital Corporation (“Main Street”), where he was employed in various roles since January of 2006. At Main Street, Mr. Shuford led one of four investment teams in the lower middle-market managing the entire deal life cycle. While at Main Street, Mr. Shuford worked on transactions representing over $190 million of total invested capital.
Prior to Main Street, Mr. Shuford was a senior associate of Avail Consulting, LLC in the Financial Advisory Services Group. While at Avail, Mr. Shuford was actively involved in the valuation of closely held stock, the performance of acquisition due diligence and the valuation of intangible assets for a number of clients in a variety of industries.
Mr. Shuford is a CFA Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Houston. He received his BBA in Finance from Baylor University. Mr. Shuford also serves on the board of the Houston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is involved with various charitable organizations. He serves on the boards of the ADaMS Association, which benefits research for Alzheimer’s, dementia and multiple sclerosis; and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he most recently served as a division chairman of the GateKeepers committee.
CHRISTOPHER E. JOSEPH
Christopher E. Joseph is a Co-Founder and Partner at Clovis Point.
Prior to Clovis Point, Mr. Joseph worked on the lower middle-market investment team of Main Street Capital Corporation (“Main Street”). At Main Street, Mr. Joseph’s responsibilities included handling all aspects of the deal execution process and actively monitoring investments, including serving on several boards. During his time at Main Street, Mr. Joseph closed eight transactions representing $110 million of total invested capital.
Previously, Mr. Joseph worked at Republic Holdings, an Austin-based private investment holding company, where he made direct investments and provided financial assistance to small, growing companies. Mr. Joseph began his career in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group of J.P. Morgan, where he was involved in a wide variety of mergers and acquisition, strategic advisories and capital market financings for clients engaged in all facets of the energy industry.
Mr. Joseph received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University and his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Joseph is a founding board member of PULSE: Professionals United to Lead St. Luke’s Health System, and is actively involved with the Greater Houston Community Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance and the Ranching and Wildlife Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Dustin S. Hollas, Vice President
Mr. Hollas joined Clovis Point in 2017 to lead the Fund’s business development activities. In this role, Mr. Hollas will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with companies and service providers throughout the Target Market with the ultimate goal of continuing the Principals practice driving proprietary deal flow.
Prior to Clovis Point, Mr. Hollas was with Comerica Bank’s Technology and Life Sciences group where he specialized in providing customized venture debt lending, treasury and investment solutions to early, middle and late-stage companies. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has assisted companies ranging from startups raising their initial seed funding to late-stage public companies. Before joining Comerica, he was a Commercial Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase where he was a 4-time National Achiever recipient which is awarded to the top bankers in the Country each year. He has previously earned his formal credit certification through the American Bankers Association as well his Series 6, Series 63 and Group 1 investment and insurance licenses.
Mr. Hollas earned his B.S. degree in Economics from Texas A&M University. Along with being an active member of the community, Mr. Hollas also serves on the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Rice University. In his spare time, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children.
